First Open the WhatsApp and tap on 3 dots then click on settings. After that click on the account option with a key icon. Now there are many options.
Once you are in the privacy user interface then scroll down a little bit and you will find an option called fingerprint lock. Click on it.
WhatsApp will show you unlock with the fingerprint option. You will also see a message from WhatsApp which says when enabled you will need to use fingerprint to open the WhatsApp.
You still be able to answer calls if WhatsApp is locked. So click on it. you will see a pop-up window at the bottom with a heading which says "confirm fingerprint".
Another message shown here is touching the fingerprint sensor of your mobile phone. Touching the sensor will authenticate your fingerprint stored in the mobile system.
The fingerprint lock of WhatsApp will be enabled and you will be presented with three options under automatically lock heading.
The first option is immediately. This will lock your WhatsApp as soon as the mobile display goes off.
The second option will lock the WhatsApp after 1 minute of waiting time.
The third option will delay the WhatsApp lock for 30 minutes.
